This little post aims to show you, that everything in your life has been thought before.
Why is this important to deeply understand? Because by deeply understanding this, you also understand better how your mind works and what your thoughts are capable of doing in and to you and your life.
We are dealing here with the principle of mind. According to Buddhism and ancient wisdom amongst more, everything consists of and originates from the mind.
Your mind is your consciousness. All perceptions and thoughts you experienced in your whole life happened in your consciousness.
Without it, you wouldn’t even know that you exist. There is nothing to experience without consciousness.
So understanding this can facilitate to create your life in a more easy and beautiful and successful manner. You can choose with your consciousness what you want to experience in life and how you deal with the experienced.
To get better with this works just as learning a new skill or training your muscles so they can grow and become stronger.
But most people don’t work out with their mind in the sense that they push one undesired thought, self-doubt or unnecessary worry for example away and pull a new thought which is, for example, the ideal contrary of the undesired one into your awareness. Moving the spotlight of the stage of one’s own mind and awareness can be exhausting in the beginning too. It is way easier to simply sit down and deal with whatever your spotlight of mind and awareness puts attention on. No matter if you like it or not.
Unless you are playing a fast game or do fighting as in martial arts, you usually have a thought that triggers your actions. Sometimes when you speak, it can happen that you don’t think first. I guess everyone recognized having done that many times.
This means that when you go in the morning to the toilet, the thought of going to the toilet due to your sensation of needing to go to the toilet comes first. The same goes for making breakfast or coffee or tea. The same goes also for writing someone a message. or calling them. It goes also for going out to get somewhere. And get off somewhere. It goes for going to your vacancies. For watching something or buying something. For taking a shower and for going for the kiss or touch. Before reading this, you had the option in your mind to read this post or not.
All this and many examples more belong to the direct influence of your thoughts on what you do.
There are also influences that aren’t directly. They show up some minutes, hours, days, weeks, months or years later. Or not at all. Fortunately, not all thought dramas happen for real.
The thing with thoughts is that when you repeat them, you start to turn them into a belief. A belief which you repeat often enough can become a conviction. These convictions and beliefs are then taken into the program that is run by your subconscious mind. When this happens, these beliefs and convictions are considered in all your actions and reactions. Especially when you are not consciously mindful in the present moment when you do what you do.
Over the years we repeated many thoughts. Many of them turned subconsciously into beliefs and convictions in our program and world view. When we are not aware of them, we can’t change them and can have a hard time figuring out why we don’t progress in a certain field or end up in the same situation again and again.
Your life depends also on what you expect and believe to happen.
Whether you expect and believe good things, bad things or no things to happen, most of the time you are right.
When you expect and believe something big and positive to happen in your life, a great idea, a breakthrough in what you do our beautiful person, for example, shows up quickly. But only as long as you hold that expectation and belief.
When you are so happy that you think to yourself that it is too good to be true – guess what happens?
Something is going to happen to prove to you that it was too good to be true.
Understanding this influence of expectation and thought shows how unresponsible or ignorant most people think regarding the luck and fulfillment of their life.
They do so mainly because there is a time delay between the outer experiences and what we have thought and expected. Without immediate impact, most people don’t associate their experiences with what they’ve been thinking, believing and expecting.
Starting to be conscious about your thoughts and to which feelings and actions they lead you, is a fundamental start to become a more fulfilled, successful, confident and happy user of your mind. Instead of mainly just possessing it and being driven most of the time by subconscious thoughts and programs.
