You are the space for your mind to happen, the householder for all thoughts, perceptions, and feelings. You are the one who serves your thoughts tea by letting them stay in your mind.
Interestingly you can serve a lot of tea to a lot of undesired guests in your space.
You can decide whenever you are mindful to stop serving tea to certain guests and direct them to the door to leave again.
We humans think in concepts due to our language. Things we cannot put in words are nearly unlikely for us to regard as existing with our conceptual mind. That is why it is easier to identify yourself with all kinds of concepts and thoughts instead of with the space and energy that gives them all the possibility to be experienced in the first place.
You are the doer and the perceiver, you can speak and listen. You can think thoughts and then agree or disagree with them. Different feelings, emotions and moods inside of you have different speakers for themselves. You can change your thoughts, beliefs, and opinions.
So why identify with something that is changed thousands of times a day?
Rather than being tired, you feel the sensation of tiredness. Instead of being great, you feel great or are great at something. Instead of being disappointed, you feel disappointment. You are the one who perceives the different sensations of feelings and emotions. What is thinking inside of you is your mind and its thoughts. You’re not them, you only experience them. You can use the capacity to think, but you aren’t it. Being your mind feels just so normal, that you forget that you are way more than your mind. You are the stage and spotlight and not the thought or sensation in this spotlight.
The eternal wakeful silence behind your mental chatters, that is your true self. The never-changing core of you. You can change your name but it’s still the same. You can change your attitudes and language but it’s still there.
The core of your being is wordless.
